Additional resources are needed to alleviate the current therapy waitlist for victims. Counseling services are designed to help victims recover from the trauma of abuse and stop the cycle of familial violence. SafeNest provides group counseling and individual therapy for adult & youth victims of domestic violence, adolescent victims of dating violence, and those who have witnessed violence to assist them in trauma recovery and to learn positive relationship skills. Clients receive individualized therapy from licensed therapists and case management support from counselors who help guide clients toward recovery from abuse. Therapists closely monitor progress and develop case plans with each survivor to comprehensively address issues stemming from domestic violence and other mental health needs, coordinating with outside agencies to provide referrals to assist with other personal barriers.
