Project Overview

Green Our Planet’s primary goal is to implement high-quality STEM education programming at 250 Title I-eligible Nevada schools that will result in an increase in student academic achievement in STEM for 125,000 students in Nevada. One-time funding will support the implementation of Green Our Planet’s Hydroponics STEM Laboratories at 300 Nevada elementary schools, scaling up STEM education and creating a sustainable future for the state. The Green Our Planet STEM Hydroponics Laboratories are already impacting over 60,000 students in 100 elementary schools across the state. By 2025, all 400 elementary schools could have innovative STEM labs that make STEM education fun and effective. Students will learn hundreds of STEM, nutrition and conservation lessons in a hands-on, engaging way. Furthermore, it is a sustainable investment as once it is implemented, teacher training is the only recurring cost. As a result, this one-time injection of funding will ensure that not only students now but also generations of students to come will be impacted.
