Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada
Project Overview
These grant funds would be used to jumpstart our Latinx, Low Income, and Rural Outreach program, giving us the infrastructure and staff needed to deliver the evidence-based Girl Scouts Leadership Experience (GSLE) program free of charge and in-person to an additional 700 Northern Nevada girls who are statistically unlikely to be able to participate in Girl Scouts otherwise. Our priority populations for this project include Latinx girls and girls in low-income or rural communities. This grant would provide the resources and staff to meet the girls where they are, rather than require them to travel or be forced to resort to virtual programming.
