Family Support Center
Project Overview
FSC faces funding challenges and is unable to increase services to our rural community. New clients wait of 6 weeks for mental health and 3 weeks for substance use. This project will use Covid19 relief funding to increase providers for our rural area, shorten waiting times, and provide additional direct services. First, FSC will use the funds to add providers, either on a full-time or part-time basis. The providers would include: one additional substance use provider, one mental health counselor, and a case manager. Second, provide supervised visitation services for parents in collaboration with DCFS and other families. Provide childcare for parents while they are in treatment services at FSC. Third, will use funds to initiate a peer support service program with certified peer support specialist that would provide direct services to clients engaged in the recovery process.
