Fallon Youth Club

Project Overview

The Fallon Youth Club serves 278 youth in the Fallon/Churchill County area, with an average attendance of 103 boys and girls.  66% of our families  are from economically challenged homes (47% at or below the federal poverty lines and 19% L-M-I).  As we return to something closer to normal we find our transportation options are insufficient to ensure proper social distancing, the lack of ability to move our members around our community limits their ability to take part in education opportunities offered by our partners.  We are speaking of participation in service learning projects as well as STEAM (Science Technology Art Math) offerings or the children’s school extracurricular activities such as robotic and music programs. Parents are frequently unable to support participation due to work schedules or unreliable transportation of their own.
