Project Overview

Ely Co-Op Pre School (dba Magic Carpet Preschool) serves 35 students from ages 2-1/2 through 6 years of age. There are 15 students in the Tots program and 20 students in the Pre-K program. Magic Carpet Preschool is the only licensed preschool in the area that is not income based. Licensed childcare is a critical need for local families. Staff members both the Tots and Pre-K programs utilize early learning curriculum, strategies and performance measures to ensure that all students are kindergarten ready when they graduate. Children from all ethnic backgrounds, including the Ely Shoshone tribe, are served.
