Children's Advocacy Alliance
Project Overview
The target population to serve will be youth and young adults impacted by the foster care system who are transitioning out into the workforce and adulthood. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Children’s Advocacy Alliance (CAA) has determined that these youth are at disproportionate risk for unemployment, housing instability, food insecurity, loss of educational supports, and loss of mental healthcare and healthcare. We believe these disproportionate impacts can be mitigated through stable employment. The CAA will utilize proven and documented methods to provide this opportunity, addressing the vast needs of these young people. Through this partnership, CAA can begin to address the issues these young people face, by equipping them with skills and resources necessary for their career development and sustainability, while teaching these young people how to be self-advocates.
