Project Overview

The program provides Services to Disproportionately Impacted Communities in Clark County living within 130% of the FPL who are unable to provide diapers and wipes to keep their infants and toddlers clean and healthy. Our program provides each child with a one week’s supply of diapers and wipes. We serve an average of 500 families at each diaper bank in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, which are held once monthly in each location. Baby’s Bounty will provide diapers, wipes, and baby bundles to families.

Parents with limited resources decrease the frequency of diaper changes, or reuse soiled diapers. This leads to health problems for infants and toddlers, including severe dermatitis and infections. Diaper need also prevents parents from working.  According to the National Diaper Bank Network, 57% of parents who rely on daycare reported missing an average of 4 days of work in the past month due to a lack of diapers, which parents are required to provide. Strategies for providing better healthcare for young children and opportunities for parents to work include distributing 750,000 diapers to 15,000 families via 30 Diaper Banks in FY22.
